AI file assistant for iPhone: turn work into a document

HeyCC can help turn research, notes or a request into an openable file instead of leaving the useful result trapped in chat. The user can inspect the deliverable, verify its real format and revise it before sharing.

A HeyCC conversation that saves a generated plan as an openable Markdown file

Verified file-workflow boundary

  • Work with supported file inputs and web information using available tools.
  • Create text-based deliverables such as Markdown or PDF documents.
  • Use supported workflows for HTML presentations or reports and CSV tables.
  • Name the real output format and inspect every generated file before use.

From source material to an inspectable result

A useful file workflow begins with source material and ends with something the user can open. Ask the bot to separate facts from assumptions, keep links beside sourced claims, use a specified structure and report any page or attachment it could not read.

The final answer should identify the saved file and its actual format. A confident chat message is not proof that a valid document was created.

Supported output boundaries

Verified implementation evidence supports Markdown and PDF documents, self-contained HTML slides, Markdown or HTML reports, and CSV tables in the relevant workflows. It does not support advertising native DOCX, PPTX or XLSX creation. Reading a file format is not the same as generating that native format.

How to create a document with an AI file assistant

  1. Provide the source notes, files or public links and state what may not be used.
  2. Name the required output: for example a Markdown brief, PDF report or CSV table.
  3. Specify headings, length, citations and facts that must be marked uncertain.
  4. Review an outline before the assistant creates or replaces a file.
  5. Open the saved result, check the extension and contents, then revise before sharing.

A concrete iPhone example

Provide event requirements, ask for a two-hour agenda with a checklist and save the approved result as Book-Club-Plan.md. Open the Markdown file on iPhone and verify the timing, names and action owners before sending it.

Web research and citations

Supported search and page-reading tools can feed a research-to-file workflow, but they do not cover every website or guarantee factual accuracy. Record source URLs beside claims, disclose failed pages and distinguish direct evidence from inference. A model-generated citation still needs to resolve to the source it claims to support.

Files, model requests and sync

App storage, optional iCloud sync and model requests are different paths. Relevant messages and attachments needed for AI processing are sent to the configured model endpoint. Before using sensitive material, review the data-flow guide, provider policy and the destination of the generated file.

AI file assistant FAQ

Can HeyCC create files on iPhone?

Yes. Supported workflows can create inspectable text-based deliverables such as Markdown or PDF documents. Other verified workflows can produce HTML presentations or reports and CSV tables when the required capability is available.

Can HeyCC create native DOCX, PPTX or XLSX files?

The current evidence does not support that claim. HeyCC should name the actual output format, such as Markdown, PDF, HTML or CSV, instead of relabeling one format as another.

Can the HeyCC file assistant research the web?

Supported search, page-reading and file tools can form a research-to-file workflow. Coverage and factual accuracy are not guaranteed, so sources and failed pages should be recorded and reviewed.

Will HeyCC automatically overwrite an existing file?

Do not assume that any file change is safe. Check the destination, inspect the generated content and keep a recoverable copy before approving an edit or replacement.

Do files and AI requests follow the same data path?

No. App data may stay on the device or use optional iCloud sync, while relevant messages and attachments needed for AI processing are sent to the configured endpoint.

Can HeyCC read an Office file and then create the same native format?

Not necessarily. Reading or extracting content from a format is different from generating a valid native file in that format. Check the named output and open it before sharing.
