In short: HeyCC does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to our servers. All conversations and API credentials are stored only on your device, or synced to your own private iCloud container.

HeyCC does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to our servers. All conversations and API credentials are stored only on your device.
API Communication
When you use HeyCC, your messages are sent directly to the AI provider you configured (Anthropic, MiniMax, OpenAI, DeepSeek, etc.). We do not proxy, log, or store these communications. Please refer to each provider's privacy policy for how they handle your data.
Local Storage
- Conversations: stored in a local SwiftData database on your device
- API credentials: stored in iOS Keychain (encrypted)
- Preferences: stored in UserDefaults (local)
iCloud Sync (Your Private Container)
HeyCC syncs your conversations, memory, tool call records, and model groups to a private iCloud CloudKit database bound to your Apple ID. This lets your data restore across devices and survive reinstalls.
Important:
- This CloudKit container is private to your Apple ID — Apple does not read its contents
- HeyCC's servers never touch this data — sync happens directly between your device and Apple CloudKit
- You can disable it anytime via Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → HeyCC, or by signing out of iCloud
- When not signed into iCloud, HeyCC works fully offline using only local storage
Third-Party Services
- Anthropic API (per your configuration)
- MiniMax / OpenAI / DeepSeek and other LLM APIs (per your configuration)
- Apple CloudKit private database (for cross-device sync, see above)
- No analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs whatsoever
iOS System Capabilities
HeyCC includes 30+ native iOS capability tools (Calendar, Reminders, Photos, Health, Shortcuts, etc.). These capabilities require your explicit authorization, and all data processing happens on your device — HeyCC does not transmit this data to any server. You can revoke any permission at any time in Settings → HeyCC.
Children's Privacy
HeyCC is not designed for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Policy Changes
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and significant changes will be notified through in-app notifications.
